Objective

The objective is to certify that the participant has gained the requisite knowledge & skills to plan and manage software test activities as well as test resources in an organization. Its main aim is to bridge the gap in managerial abilities of software testing professionals to enable efficient software test management.

The certificate would confirm the understanding of the participant on:  

  • Software project management, team organization, and project scheduling concepts
  • Importance of estimation
  • Empirical and decomposition methods of estimation
  • Basic concepts of risk management
  • Identification and management of risks

SE201:   Basic Concepts of Software Project Management
Duration:   8.5 hours

SE203:   Basic Concepts and Techniques of Estimation
Duration:   6.5 hours

SE206:   Risk Management
Duration:   7 hours

Target Audience

  • Software testing professionals with 3 to 5 years of experience
  • Software development leads or managers intending to be software test leads or software test management positions
  • Individuals who have completed STP (Software Testing Professional) exam and want to grow further in their career
Prerequisites

  • Education:
    • More than 3 years of work experience in software development or testing
  • Successful completion of “Software Testing Professional” exam
Application Validity

Each application is valid for a period of One Year.

Format of Exam

  • Exam duration: 1 hour
    (Breakup of 1 hour: 40 min Objective, 10 min Subjective, 10 min Case study)
  • Question paper consists of following sections:
    • Section 1 Objective: 60 % weightage (40 questions)
    • Section 2 Subjective: 20% weightage (5 questions)
    • Section 3 Case Study: 20% weightage (1 question, 2 options would be provided to choose from)
  • Passing percentage
    • For each of the 3 sections: 60 %
    • Overall percentage in certification exam: 75 %
