Prof. Pankaj Jalote
Prof. Pankaj Jalote has done his Ph.D from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, M.S. from Pennsylvania State University Park and B.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
He is working with Department of Computer Science and Engineering at I.I.T. Delhi as Microsoft Chair Professor. Before this he was with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Kanpur as Head of the Department. Prior to that he has worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Maryland, where he also held joint appointment in the Institute of Advanced Computer Studies.
He has also worked as Vice President (quality) at Infosys Technologies Ltd., where he spearheaded Infosys' CMM journey. He is on the Board of Advisors of many software companies in India and USA, he is a Technical Advisory Board member for Microsoft Research, India, and is on the Editorial Board of IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, and International Journal of Emperical Software Engineering.
He has authored a number of popular books in the area of process improvement, project management, software engineering and more. Some of the popular books authored by him are CMM in Practice, Software Project Management in Practice, An Integrated Approach to Software Engineering, Fault Tolerance in Distributed Systems.
Rajesh Naik
Rajesh Naik is a Bachelor of Technology from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras & a MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad. He is a Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA). He has over 21 years experience in software consulting experience in Software Process Improvement, Development and Implementation of software in systems and application areas.
Rajesh’s assessment experience includes fourteen assessments as Lead Assessor. He has also observed a candidate lead assessor for People CMM®. In addition, Rajesh has participated as an assessment team member in six assessments. He has performed over 30 pre-assessments for SW CMM, CMMI and People CMM.
Rajesh has designed and conducted several in-house and public training programs (over 400) in Software Engineering, Project Management and Process Management. These include courses on Estimation, Project Management, Testing, Configuration Management, Metrics and Statistical Process Control, ISO 9001, People CMM, SW CMM and CMMI. Has provided development and quality management consultancy to overseas clients including Third Wave Systems (UK), IMR (USA).
He has co-authored six books (including Software Requirements and Estimation, ISO 9001:2000 for Software Organizations and SQL for Professionals published by Tata McGraw-Hill). One of these books has been translated into Chinese also.
